How to beat Brain Fog

how to overcome brain fog

We all know that feeling of mental fog – not being able to make sense of our thoughts, string a cohesive sentence together or just generally feeling a bit foggy.

It can be caused by a number of different factors but one of the first things to check is how hydrated you are.

Dehydration is a major cause of mental fog and if this is what’s affecting you it can be easily remedied.

Our brain is literally made up of water  (approx. 75% of the brain is water) and it needs fluids in order to function properly. Coupled with the benefits to the brain drinking enough water will help to normalise your blood pressure, flush out waste from your cells and keep those cells healthy and metabolically active too.

It’s also crucial for memory and mental clarity so if you’re experiencing symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, poor concentration and headaches checking your hydration should be a first step.

It’s impossible to put an identical figure on how much we should all drink as it varies from person to person based on physical activity, environment, diet etc but as a general rule of thumb you should aim to consume half your body weight in ounces of water every day. So someone who is 150lbs or 10st 7lbs would want to drink 75 ounces or 2.2 litres of water per day.

If having checked your hydration levels you’re still feeling you need some help to focus on a business or school project, balancing your finances or maintaining your focus on a long drive than a product that I’ve been taking for over a year now might help. Recently rebranded the Focus Super Powder Mind Health is a great tasting cherry-lime flavoured formula with ingredients like grape seed extract, CoQ10, and a sunflower seed-derived phosphatidylserine to help support brain health and cognitive performance.

So what makes it so good? Well the key ingredients have all been designed with cognitive performance in mind. Sunflower seed derived phosphatidylserine is a key building block for brain cells and vitamin B12 supports neurological performance like concentration and focus.

Coupled with that supportive ingredients like grape seed extract and CoQ10 are there to help maintain a healthy nervous system. I’ve long been an advocate of CoQ10 for energy and turns out with good reason - it’s a building block for energy within all our cells. And if you’re over 40, or taking any form of Statins, then your natural production of CoQ10 is already waning so topping it up with a nutritional supplement is essential.

Use daily to help support brain health and cognitive performance including aspects like memory and learning.

And Arbonne have made it so simple to take, so even those averse to swallowing pills (like me) can enjoy it! It comes in individual sachets in a 30 serving pack, simply mix it with water and enjoy the great cherry-lime flavour.
